For Self-Pay Patients:
No doctor`s order or referral is required if you do not have one.
We will assist you with exam preparations with our on-site doctor.
Save time, money, and get answers about your medical condition right away.
Just be comfortable.
You should wear comfortable loose-fitting clothing, though you may be asked to change into a patient gown. For examinations of your head, chest, arms, legs and feet, no special preparation is needed.
For abdomen related exams: No food for at least 8 hours.
For the pelvic area, you may be asked to drink several glasses of water one hour before your test and to avoid urinating so that your bladder is full during the exam.
For transvaginal: Empty bladder.
Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your appointment to avoid any major delays.
You will check in the front desk, fill out questionnaires and consents, and make payments. You will be escorted to a procedure room, where you may be asked to change into a patient gown. The technologist will review with you the questionnaires and ask you additional questions. The technologist will position you on a cushioned table. After you have been properly positioned, the technologist will begin obtaining the ultrasound images.
While the images are obtained, you will be instructed to breathe normally but to lie as still as possible.
An ultrasound exam usually takes from 15 to 30 minutes
Echocardiograms usually takes 45 minutes.
The technologist will advise when the exam is done, and you will be escorted back to the front desk reception.
You can request a copy of the images on a CD before you leave so you can share it with any doctor.
Yes, for a small additional fee you can get additional copies.
The results will be done within 48 hours and will be delivered both to you and your doctor through email or fax.
